Municipal library board directors would serve at the pleasure of the municipal governing body and may be removed without cause, replacing the current requirement that removal be only for misconduct or neglect of duty

State Library Board members appointed by the Governor would serve at the pleasure of the Governor and may be removed without cause, eliminating the current "for cause" removal protection

Multicounty library system board members could be removed without cause by the appointing authority, changing from removal only for misconduct or neglect of duty

Rural single county library system board members and city-county library commission members would similarly serve at the pleasure of appointing authorities with removal allowed without cause
