Individuals whose arrest booking photographs have been published may request removal in writing via registered mail, with proof of identification and specific information identifying the photograph

Publishers must remove the photograph within 10 days of receiving the request and are prohibited from republishing or disseminating it afterward

Courts may impose civil penalties of $1,000 per day for failure to remove photographs, increasing to $5,000 per day for republishing previously removed photographs, with penalties deposited into the General Revenue Fund

Publishers are prohibited from charging fees for photograph removal

Law applies only to businesses whose primary model is publishing mugshots for commercial gain or those that solicit payment for removal; effective November 1, 2025
