Law enforcement must notify school superintendents and board members when a public school, charter school, or virtual charter school employee is being investigated for, arrested for, or charged with "offenses against students" including sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, rape, and related crimes

School boards must immediately suspend the employee without notice or hearing pending the investigation outcome; suspension continues through trial adjudication if charges are filed

Suspended employees retain full compensation and benefits but are prohibited from entering school premises and barred from submitting their resignation during the suspension period

Superintendents must notify all parents and legal guardians of enrolled students about the situation, including a statement that the employee is presumed innocent until proven guilty

Effective date is July 1, 2025, with an emergency clause for immediate implementation upon passage
