Oklahoma Department of Corrections facilities must designate all multi-occupancy restrooms, changing rooms, and sleeping quarters for exclusive use by either females or males based on sex

Individuals are prohibited from entering restrooms, changing rooms, or sleeping quarters designated for the opposite sex, with exceptions for custodial services, medical/law enforcement assistance, emergencies, or threats to safety

Inmates who encounter a person of the opposite sex in a sex-designated restroom or changing room, or who are required to share sleeping quarters with someone of the opposite sex, may file a private lawsuit for declaratory and injunctive relief against the facility

Civil actions must be filed within 2 years of the violation, and prevailing plaintiffs may recover attorney fees and court costs
