Permits any person to forage for nuts, edible plants, and fungi on state-owned or state-managed public property for personal consumption only, defined as an amount consumable in a few days and not for resale

Prohibits foraging from certified agricultural crops and threatened or endangered plants

Excludes foraging on state/university research farms, leased land without lessee permission, road rights-of-way, law enforcement properties, and correctional facility areas

Allows foraging on Wildlife Management Areas beginning July 1, 2026, subject to rules promulgated by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission

Encourages foragers to wear hunter orange outer garments for visibility and to know which plants are safe for consumption; effective November 1, 2025
