Oklahoma governmental entities are prohibited from contracting with companies unless the company provides written verification that it does not discriminate against firearm entities or firearm trade associations

Discrimination includes refusing to do business with, discontinuing relationships with, or terminating relationships with firearm manufacturers, distributors, retailers, or gun ranges solely based on their status as firearm-related businesses

Requirements apply only to contracts valued at $100,000 or more with companies that have at least 10 full-time employees; exceptions exist for sole-source providers and situations where no compliant bidders are available

The Purchasing Division of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services is responsible for reviewing state contracts to confirm compliance with these requirements

Effective date is November 1, 2025
