Expands Oklahoma's statewide alternative education system to include charter schools and virtual charter schools designated by the State Department of Education as implementing alternative education programs

Permits school districts to deliver alternative education programs through full-time virtual instruction or blended instruction formats

Requires designated charter schools and virtual charter schools to follow a separate performance framework and specific attendance policies for alternative education

Removes outdated references to Alternative Approaches grant programs funded under Section 1210.561

Takes effect July 1, 2026, with an emergency clause allowing immediate implementation upon passage and approval
