Inmates who earn a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma while in continuous county jail custody awaiting trial, sentencing, or transfer to the Department of Corrections may now receive 90 achievement earned credits upon transfer to state prison

County jails must document program completion, including certification date, on the official jail sentence form that accompanies inmates upon transfer to the Department of Corrections

Updates terminology throughout the statute, replacing "juvenile pornography" with "child sexual abuse material" and "child pornography" with "child sexual abuse material"

Makes statutory language gender neutral by changing "his or her" to "their" and updates other outdated language such as "On-line" to "Online"

Effective date is November 1, 2025
