Allows Oklahoma teachers to use micro-credentials to satisfy standard teaching certificate renewal requirements, in addition to existing options like staff development programs, conferences, and seminars

Directs the State Department of Education, in collaboration with the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability, to identify which micro-credentials qualify for certificate renewal

Authorizes micro-credentials to be provided by Oklahoma State System of Higher Education institutions and by providers and digital learning platforms approved by the Department

Permits school district boards of education to charge reasonable fees to certificate holders not employed as public school teachers or administrators who attend district-sponsored staff development programs

Effective date of July 1, 2025, with an emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval
