Juveniles adjudicated delinquent for violent crimes (as defined in Title 57, Section 571) are prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms until age 25

Courts must notify juveniles age 14 or older of the firearm prohibition before accepting guilty or no contest pleas for violent crimes, and after any such adjudication

Juvenile court clerks must electronically submit final dispositions to the FBI for inclusion in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) and to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, which must update records within 10 business days

Individuals may petition for reinstatement of firearm rights at age 19 or older if at least one year has passed since their most recent adjudication and completion of disposition; courts consider post-adjudication behavior, likelihood of future criminal activity, and other relevant factors

Appeals of reinstatement decisions may be filed within 10 business days to a court with criminal jurisdiction, which hears the case de novo; effective date is November 1, 2025
