Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability must establish student teaching requirements for teacher candidates in accredited educator preparation programs

Teacher candidates may fulfill requirements through either a minimum number of weeks of field experience or a qualified job-embedded, competency-based teacher registered apprenticeship program

Teacher registered apprenticeship program defined as a structured program combining on-the-job training with academic instruction to prepare individuals to become teachers

Commission required to promulgate rules implementing these provisions

Effective date of July 1, 2025, with emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage and approval
