District attorneys are authorized to initiate civil actions on behalf of voters in their judicial districts to investigate alleged election irregularities or fraud, including voter fraud, ballot tampering, unlawful voting practices, and voting machine security breaches

District attorneys may request access to election records and data from the State Election Board and county election boards; all records obtained must remain confidential except as required by law or court order

Prior approval from the district court is required before initiating any action, with the court assessing whether allegations present a prima facie case of election fraud or irregularity

Frivolous lawsuits are prohibited, with penalties for repeated misuse including censure, suspension, or removal under applicable state law

Annual reports on litigation outcomes must be submitted to the Oklahoma State Election Board; effective date is July 1, 2025, with an emergency clause for immediate effect upon passage
