Declares May as Alpha-gal Awareness and Prevention Month in Oklahoma

Recognizes alpha-gal syndrome as a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic condition typically caused by tick bites that is increasingly affecting Oklahoma residents

Encourages health care providers, public health officials, educators, and community groups to increase awareness of alpha-gal syndrome and other tick-borne illnesses

Supports continued research into the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of alpha-gal syndrome

Directs distribution of the resolution to the State Department of Health to inform tick-borne disease education and prevention efforts
