Recognizes March 9 as Bob Wills Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol, honoring the musician born in 1905 who became known as the "King of Western Swing"

Bob Wills moved to Oklahoma in 1934 with his band the Texas Playboys, performed twice weekly at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, and appeared in more than a dozen movies

Wills was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1968 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999

His family donated archival materials and artifacts to the Oklahoma Historical Society for display at the forthcoming OKPOP Museum in Tulsa
