Restores restrictions on unemployment insurance benefits for nonprofessional educational workers at schools and colleges that were repealed by Senate Bill 489 in 2023

Denies benefits during periods between academic years or terms if the worker has reasonable assurance of returning to work for the next term

Denies benefits during established vacation periods or holiday recesses if the worker has reasonable assurance of returning afterward

Exempts certain job categories from these restrictions: facility operations and maintenance, janitorial services, school food service, early intervention services, and prekindergarten services

Applies to educational institutions operated by nonprofit entities, the state, political subdivisions, or Indian tribes, effective for weeks of unemployment beginning on or after the act's effective date
