Contracts between the Oregon Health Authority and coordinated care organizations must have an initial term of no less than five years, with the same contract length required for all CCOs contracting with the authority

Contracts may be amended more than once per 12-month period if mutually agreed upon or necessitated by federal/state law changes, and global budget adjustments can be made retroactively within the first eight months

The authority must provide at least 60 days' advance notice of proposed amendments, and 134 days' notice before the end of a benefit period for proposed changes to be submitted to CMS

CCOs refusing to renew must notify the authority within 14 days of receiving proposed changes; contracts may be extended up to 90 days into the next benefit period while the CCO completes member notification, transition planning, and business closeout

Existing CCO contracts in effect on July 27, 2023 are extended to December 31, 2026, unless further extended by the authority
