School districts in Oregon receive a temporary exemption from fluorescent lamp restrictions under ORS 459.485, allowing them to purchase fluorescent lamps for use in school buildings

The exemption takes effect immediately upon passage as an emergency measure and remains in effect until January 2, 2030

After January 2, 2030, the school district exemption expires and districts will be subject to the same fluorescent lamp restrictions as other entities

Amends ORS 459.488, which lists exemptions to Oregon's fluorescent lamp sales prohibition, adding school districts to the existing exemptions for specialized uses like medical devices, research institutions, and UV lamps
