Establishes a 12-member Task Force on Staffing at Correctional Facilities, with 8 members appointed by the Governor (including union and non-union law enforcement officers and facility supervisors) and 4 legislative members in advisory roles

Directs the task force to review and recommend solutions for rehiring retired corrections officers part-time, improving staff safety, reducing overtime use, and enhancing recruitment and retention

Requires examination of paid professional development through the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training and options for local government reimbursement of officer training costs

Mandates a report with potential legislative recommendations to a judiciary-related interim committee by December 15, 2026

Takes effect 91 days after the 2025 legislative session adjourns and sunsets on January 2, 2027
