Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services must keep confidential any personally identifiable information of employees who provided information for or participated in workplace safety investigations or inspections

Confidentiality protection applies to employees involved in inspections conducted under Oregon's Safe Employment Act (ORS 654.001 to 654.295, 654.412 to 654.423, and 654.750 to 654.780)

Disclosure of employee identity is permitted if the employee consents or if the director determines disclosure is necessary to carry out the Oregon Safe Employment Act, according to criteria established by rule

"Agents" of the employer are excluded from the confidentiality protections

Director must adopt rules and establish procedures for implementing these confidentiality requirements
