Vehicle dealers may issue temporary registration permits for motor vehicles that lack proof of compliance with pollution control equipment requirements at the time of sale

Dealers must provide purchasers written notice that ODOT will not issue license plates, registration stickers, or permanent registration without proof of pollution control compliance

Proof of pollution control compliance must be provided before the temporary registration permit expires for the buyer to obtain permanent registration

Amends ORS 803.350 (vehicle registration requirements) and ORS 803.625 (temporary registration permits issued by dealers)
