Oregon Tourism Commission required to identify, designate, and monitor tourism districts statewide based on geographic regions with cooperative tourism strategies and willing regional partners

Tourism districts may apply to the Commission for assistance obtaining community development grants from Oregon Business Development Department and transit investment grants from Department of Transportation

Transit grant assistance covers intracommunity transit, rural transportation routes to tourism sites, and projects improving access to scenic areas

Tourism districts may request Commission assistance in obtaining temporary waivers (minimum 3 years) of land use and building code requirements to allow priority tourism and recreation activities

Commission authorized to designate live performances as priority tourism activities, exempting recordings of those performances from unlawful recording statutes under ORS 164.873—with or without performer consent
