Eliminates the "permit closure" category for forestland fire hazard designations, reducing closure types from three to two: regulated closure and absolute closure

Removes the State Forester's authority to issue, refuse, suspend, revoke, or restrict permits for entry into fire hazard areas during permit closures

Removes the requirement that public notices describe how permits may be secured for designated fire hazard areas

Applies to forestland inside or within one-eighth mile of a forest protection district that the State Forester determines is particularly exposed to fire danger
