Teachers who have already completed Oregon's initial three-year probationary period in one school district now require only two successive years of employment at a new district to achieve contract teacher status

District school boards retain authority to negotiate even shorter probationary periods (minimum one year) for experienced teachers who previously completed the three-year probationary requirement

First-time Oregon teachers still must complete the full three-year probationary period before becoming contract teachers

Amends ORS 342.815 to modify the definition of "contract teacher" under fair dismissal district employment rules
