Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife must establish a Wildlife Stewardship Program focused on education about living with wildlife in urban and suburban areas and minimizing human-wildlife conflict

Biologists will be stationed in strategic locations to serve urban and suburban areas, conducting outreach and training for local governments, community groups, schools, law enforcement, and animal control

Biologists will provide assistance and support to licensed wildlife rehabilitators caring for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, including guidance on rules and conducting facility inspections

Program includes a grant program to support licensed wildlife rehabilitation centers that hold and treat injured and orphaned wildlife

Appropriates $200,000 from the General Fund for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025 to carry out the grant program
