Youth Development Division must conduct a comprehensive review of existing policies, grant programs, and community-based initiatives aimed at reducing community violence in Oregon

Review requires evaluation of community-based youth violence prevention programs, national models from other states, and engagement with stakeholders including students, families, victims, schools, law enforcement, tribal courts, and juvenile departments

Approaches to be examined include mentorship programs, career counseling, school-based interventions, behavioral health services, and culturally responsive outreach initiatives

Report with findings and recommendations for a statewide community violence prevention strategy due to Legislative Assembly interim education committee by December 1, 2027

Provisions sunset on January 2, 2028
