Oregon Department of Education must establish a procedure for school districts, public charter schools, and education service districts to develop immediate and temporary accommodations plans for students diagnosed with concussions or brain injuries by licensed health care professionals

Public education providers must initiate the accommodations plan upon receiving written notification from a parent or guardian of a diagnosis and request for accommodations

Accommodations must be in effect within 10 school days of notification and reviewed at least every two months based on the student's recovery

Plans must address physical activity limitations, academic and social-emotional accommodations, and be communicated to all teachers and relevant staff including nurses, counselors, coaches, and athletic trainers

Takes effect immediately upon passage as an emergency measure and first applies to the 2025-2026 school year
