Oregon Health Authority must establish a permanent farmworker disaster relief program to provide financial support to farmworkers who lose income or wages due to qualifying disasters

Qualifying disasters include droughts, wildfires, earthquakes, floods, excessive heat, pandemics, and emergency declarations by the Governor or local officials

Eligible farmworkers include those employed in agriculture, farming, fishing, dairy, ranching, food processing, nurseries, and related activities in Oregon

Financial support will be distributed through contracted worker relief organizations that have been registered in Oregon for at least six months and specialize in helping workers experiencing financial hardship

$10,000,000 appropriated from the General Fund to the Oregon Health Authority for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025
