School districts and public charter schools must submit quarterly data to the Department of Education on students who are regular attenders (absent less than 10% of enrolled days) or chronically absent (absent 10% or more of enrolled days)

"Absent" includes excused absences, nonexcused absences, and disciplinary exclusions

Required data includes total students in average daily membership, number and percentage of regular attenders, and number and percentage of chronically absent students, disaggregated by student groups

Department of Education must compile the quarterly data and publish it on its website in an easy-to-use public format
