Physicians holding majority shares or serving as majority directors of professional medical corporations must have Oregon domicile, reside in the state at least 275 days per year, and be actively involved in providing or managing patient care

Oregon-licensed physicians must hold the majority of voting shares and constitute the majority of directors in professional corporations organized to practice medicine

All corporate officers except secretary and treasurer must be Oregon-licensed physicians

The Oregon Medical Board may require physicians to hold more than a majority of voting shares or constitute more than a majority of directors

Exemptions apply to nonprofit corporations serving underserved populations under federal law, qualified health centers, and rural health clinics operating under federal definitions

Takes effect 91 days after adjournment of the 2025 regular legislative session
