Oregon Department of Emergency Management will administer a grant program to consolidate and modernize public safety answering points (PSAPs), funded through a newly established Public Safety Answering Point Consolidation Fund

9-1-1 jurisdictions may apply for grants up to $25,000 for consolidation planning costs, plus additional matching grants up to $500,000 for software or hardware modernization

Grant applications must include plans to consolidate two or more PSAPs into one and upgrade equipment to support interoperable two-way digital radio standards

Maximum of two projects may be approved per biennium, reviewed in order received, with annual status reports due to legislative committees by December 1

Program sunsets January 2, 2045, with any remaining fund balances reverting to the General Fund
