Oregon Department of Emergency Management will administer grants to consolidate and modernize public safety answering points (PSAPs), with funding from a newly established Public Safety Answering Point Consolidation Fund

9-1-1 jurisdictions may apply for grants up to $25,000 for consolidation planning and up to $50,000 for technical implementation support per project

Additional grants of up to $500,000 available for software/hardware upgrades if the jurisdiction commits at least $150,000 in matching funds

Maximum of two projects may be approved per biennium, with applications reviewed in order received and requiring compliance with the Oregon Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan

Program sunsets January 2, 2045, with annual reporting to Legislative Assembly interim committees on emergency preparedness required by December 1
