Deputies of county clerks are explicitly authorized to solemnize marriages anywhere in Oregon, in addition to county clerks themselves

Deputies who solemnize marriages must collect the $117 fee, which is deposited per ORS 205.320

Deputies may charge and accept personal payments up to $100 plus actual costs for solemnizations performed outside the courthouse or after normal working hours

Deputies must maintain records of personal payments received and actual costs for four years

Personal payments accepted by deputies do not constitute violations of Oregon ethics laws (ORS chapter 244)
