Individual and group health benefit plans must reimburse naturopathic physicians for services within their scope of practice if those same services are reimbursed when provided by physicians, physician associates, or nurse practitioners

Naturopathic physicians in independent practice must receive the same reimbursement amount and payment methodology as physicians, physician associates, or nurse practitioners providing the same service in the same setting and geographic area

Insurers are prohibited from reducing reimbursement to physicians, physician associates, or nurse practitioners in order to comply with the equal pay requirements

Public Employees' Benefit Board (PEBB) and Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) plans are required to comply with these reimbursement parity requirements

Requirements apply to health benefit plans issued, renewed, or extended on or after the effective date of the Act
