Water Resources Commission establishes criteria for certifying professionals to conduct surveys determining whether permittees have completed water appropriation requirements under ORS 537.230, 537.630, and 540.530

Eligible applicants for certification include registered professional engineers, registered professional land surveyors, registered geologists, and district employees with 7+ years of full-time employment and relevant technical experience

State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying issues certificates, requires applicants to pass an examination prepared by the Water Resources Department, and sets fees based on program expenses

Board may adopt rules for professional conduct and continuing education, and may suspend, revoke, or modify certificates for violations following investigation
