Expands Oregon's defamation laws to cover "electronic" newspapers, magazines, and periodicals in addition to printed publications

Requires electronic publications to correct defamatory statements by immediately placing a link to the correction on any page containing or previously containing the defamatory content

Maintains existing requirements: defamed persons must demand correction within 20 days of learning of the statement; publishers have two weeks to investigate and publish corrections

Plaintiffs cannot recover general damages unless the publisher fails to issue a requested correction or the plaintiff proves the defendant actually intended to defame them

Amends ORS 31.205, 31.210, and 31.215; passed House April 17, 2025, repassed June 13, 2025, and passed Senate June 11, 2025
