Education service districts must provide and pay for required examinations for homeschooled children at grades 3, 5, 8, and 10, shifting costs from parents to the districts

Examinations must be offered at least three times per calendar year at no cost to parents or legal guardians of resident children

Testing must be administered at the public school the student would have attended based on attendance boundaries

Parents retain the option to select a different approved examination and arrange private administration if they choose not to use the district-provided testing

Amends ORS 339.035 to change the examination process from a parent-reimbursement model to direct district provision and funding
