School districts and private schools that compete against public schools must designate all athletic competitions and extracurricular sports as "Males/Men/Boys," "Females/Women/Girls," or "Coed" based on biological sex

Biological males are prohibited from participating in athletic competitions or sports designated for females, while no restrictions apply to participation in male or coed categories

Students harmed by violations, or who face retaliation for reporting violations, may sue for injunctive relief, monetary damages (including psychological, emotional, and physical harm), and attorney fees

School districts and private schools are protected from adverse action by public bodies, licensing organizations, or athletic associations for maintaining sex-separated sports under this law

Takes effect beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, with a two-year statute of limitations for civil claims
