Counties must approve partition or subdivision of rural lots larger than 3 acres that contain an existing lawful dwelling and are outside urban growth boundaries and urban/rural reserves

Landowners may divide qualifying parcels into 2-5 lots, with each resulting lot required to contain a dwelling unit, including manufactured homes or small homes

All dwellings must be substantially completed by December 31, 2028, or the subdivision becomes void and any newly created lots or partially built structures become unlawful

Recorded instruments must include notice that the division may be voided if development is not completed by the deadline

The law sunsets on January 2, 2029
