Creates a new "provisional licensed art therapist" license category through the Health Licensing Office for applicants with a master's degree from an Art Therapy Credentials Board-approved program who are working under supervision

Requires applicants for licensed art therapist or licensed certified art therapist credentials to complete two years of supervised mental health practice as a provisional licensed art therapist before obtaining full licensure

Provisional licensed art therapists must be at least 18 years old, meet provisional registered art therapist requirements, be engaged in a supervisory relationship, maintain good standing in other states, and pay a licensure fee

New supervised practice requirements apply to individuals applying for full licensure on or after January 1, 2028, with the provisional license program becoming operative January 1, 2026

Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment of the 2025 legislative session
