Honors Private First Class Shawnacee Loren Noble (May 12, 1972 – April 11, 1991), a West Albany High School graduate who grew up in Sweet Home and Albany, Oregon

Noble enlisted in the Oregon National Guard during high school, trained as a combat engineer at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and attained the rank of Specialist with Company C, 1249th Engineer Battalion

Voluntarily transferred to the regular U.S. Army to serve in Operation Desert Storm, accepting a reduction in rank, and deployed to Saudi Arabia on January 17, 1991 with Company B, 5th Engineer Battalion

Died at age 18 from pneumonia caused by a severe viral infection contracted while on active duty, and was buried with full military honors at Liberty-Nye Cemetery in Sweet Home

Adopted by the Oregon House on February 20, 2025 and the Senate on March 11, 2025
