Oregon's 83rd Legislative Assembly formally recognizes and honors 19 service members from the Clackamas County area (Oregon City, Canby, Gladstone, Tualatin, and West Linn) who died during the Vietnam War

Honored veterans served across multiple branches: U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy, with ranks ranging from Private First Class to Lieutenant Colonel

Deaths occurred between 1966 and 1971, resulting from combat action, accidents, helicopter crashes, and other causes in various South Vietnamese provinces

Two service members were initially declared MIA: Lt. Col. Herb Doby (remains identified November 1, 1977) and SSgt. Warren Emery Newton (remains recovered and identified in 2015)
