Department of Human Services must prepare accurate caseload forecasts for older adults and individuals with disabilities for each biennium as part of agency budget requests

Forecasts must account for the most current information, projected Medicaid-eligible individuals, new state or federal Medicaid requirements on staff and providers, and all required work tasks under state or federal law

DHS must also project workload needed to serve forecasted populations, including services, supports, programs, and administrative tasks

Department must collaborate with the trade association representing area agencies to report mid-biennium changes to caseload forecasts or workload projections to the Legislative Assembly

Reports must include implications of any forecast changes or adjustments for the department's budget
