Prohibits motor vehicle liability insurers from using or requiring any device or technology that tracks or reveals the geographic location of an insured while they are occupying or operating a covered vehicle

Creates an exception allowing insurers to obtain and use location information solely for providing emergency services or roadside assistance, but only if the insured affirmatively consents

Retains existing prohibitions against assigning insureds to higher risk categories solely for letting a prior policy lapse (unless they violated mandatory insurance requirements) or for license suspensions based on nondriving offenses

Applies to motor vehicle liability insurance policies issued or renewed on or after the effective date

Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment of the 2025 regular legislative session
