Establishes the Task Force to Abolish the Department of Education, consisting of 10 legislative members (5 appointed by the Senate President, 5 by the House Speaker)

Directs the task force to study and recommend how to transfer Department of Education functions to other state agencies, including State School Fund distributions, Fund for Student Success distributions, and all other funding/grant programs

Requires review of transferring fingerprint/background check processes, USDA food program administration, and abuse/sexual conduct investigations to alternative agencies

Mandates evaluation of alternative agencies to serve as the state educational agency for federal programs including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Every Student Succeeds Act

Task force sunsets January 2, 2027, and must report to the Legislative Assembly within 30 days of its final meeting
