Amends ORS 343.326 to add terminally ill students (those with illness reasonably expected to result in death within 12 months or less) to the list of students eligible for reduced IEP meeting frequency while on abbreviated school day programs

Terminally ill students on abbreviated school day programs will require IEP team meetings only once every year, rather than the standard once every 30 calendar days, after the initial 25-35 day review meeting

Other student categories already qualifying for annual (rather than monthly) meetings include those with 504 Plans, virtual charter school students, and students in pediatric nursing facilities

Passed Senate April 10, 2025 and House May 8, 2025; declared an emergency measure taking effect immediately upon passage
