Establishes a 14-member Task Force on Health Insurance Coverage for Retired Police and Fire Members of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

Task force membership includes representatives from Oregon State Police, local law enforcement, firefighters, Department of Corrections unions, parole/probation officers, and state/county/municipal governments, with two nonvoting legislative members

Task force must evaluate methods of providing health insurance coverage to retired PERS police officers and firefighters, including approaches used by other states and local agencies

Task force must also review additional impediments to the retirement of police officers and firefighters

Report due to interim legislative committee by January 1, 2026; task force sunsets June 30, 2026; declared an emergency effective on passage
