State Department of Fish and Wildlife must identify wildlife management units or herd ranges showing evidence of drought, habitat degradation, and reduced nutritional availability where elk/mule deer populations are at or below 50% of goals, or pronghorn/bighorn sheep/mountain goat populations are below 75% of their three-year rolling average

Department must collaborate with federal and local agencies to undertake predator control in identified areas until elk/mule deer reach 80% of population goals and pronghorn/bighorn sheep/mountain goats reach 90% of their three-year rolling average

Designations of wildlife management units or herd ranges must be reviewed and updated at least every two years using drought mapping, invasive grass inventories, and rangeland vegetation data from federal and state sources

General Fund appropriation to the department for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025 (amount not specified in bill text)
