Extends Oregon's public employment hiring preference to current Oregon National Guard members ("state servicemembers") and former National Guard members discharged under honorable conditions ("former state servicemembers")

Current and former National Guard members receive 5 percentage points added to their scores on civil service application screenings and examinations, matching the preference already given to veterans

Disabled veterans continue to receive a higher preference of 10 percentage points added to their scores

Individuals expecting discharge from the Oregon National Guard within 120 days may submit certification to receive the hiring preference before their official separation

Amends ORS 408.225, 408.230, and 408.235; requested by Governor Kotek for the Oregon Military Department and passed by the Senate on February 27, 2025 and House on May 13, 2025
