Allows property owners outside urban growth boundaries to build one additional "family dwelling unit" on their land, overriding other land use restrictions in ORS chapter 215

Restricts occupancy of the new dwelling to family members including parents, siblings, children, spouses, domestic partners, grandchildren, and grandparents

Prohibits use as vacation rentals; allows non-family tenants for only 18 months after a family member moves out

Requires compliance with wildfire safety standards (Oregon Residential Specialty Code section R327, defensible space requirements) if located in high wildfire hazard areas

Prohibits subdividing the tract to separate the original dwelling from the family dwelling unit; takes effect 91st day after 2025 legislative session adjourns
