Increases penalties for violations of ORS 477.710, 477.720, or 477.740 (fire-related statutes) from civil violations to criminal misdemeanors

First offense punishable as Class C misdemeanor: maximum 30 days imprisonment, $1,250 fine, or both

Second offense punishable as Class B misdemeanor: maximum 6 months imprisonment, $2,500 fine, or both

Third offense punishable as Class A misdemeanor: maximum 364 days imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both

First violation that proximately causes human injury, loss of life, or property damage of $10,000 or more may be punished as Class A misdemeanor
